Spot Details

- I have just visited the place yesterday (2nd August) about training courses and rentals so I am not affiliated with any of them. They said they have been running the place for three years. Food and drinks are served. The facilites are kept well. There is an air compressor for convenience. Around 10 kites were airborne at any given moment, without collision. The shallow area is wide around the spot which is only waist-deep. Newbies surfed right in front of the beach and a couple of pro surfers went a little downwind to northeast for a better spot to practice significant jumps on their own. A weather station is deployed for the sake of accuracy. The trainer mentioned the occasional days with gusty winds can be a let down sometimes but it can also be an X factor for the more adventurous kitesurfers or experts. People were nice. They have a roadsign reading "Schwimmen ist verboten!" meaning "Swimming is not allowed!". Music is good. Some kitesurfers continued even after the sun was down. Shipwreck is about 700 meters to the west, so kitesurfers are safe from any obstructions. The same shipwreck can also be used as a great opportunity for photographers with a kitesurfing edge (Jumping over the shipwreck? Absolutely not! Who in his right mind does that!? ;-) ). After watching the kitesurfers and trainers for more than two hours while enjoying my soft drink, I can say everything was run smoothly for the duration. I arrived there late in the afternoon around 6PM and people who packed their kites around 7PM due to lack of wind, missed the chance to surf the solid northwesterly that arrived around 8 PM. Just saying. I have included the contact information I have found on card the business card they gave me because I think people deserve to know about it. Thanks in advance.
